What does a collar need to handle a Presa Canario?
Simple.
First of all it needs to be wide. A width of 8cm is ideal. More isn't necessary and less isn't desirable, at least for an adult.
A collar that commands presence and looks good. Looking good is also a function.
A Cobra-type buckle would hold not just one dog — it would hold a chariot team of Presas. A chariot like something out of Ben Hur, each one held by its tactical Presa Canario collar.
If you don't want to find out what mud or asphalt tastes like, an ergonomic handle is more than recommended.
For holding a Presa up close from the collar itself, for me it's essential.
Is nylon hardness important? If we were in the Middle Ages and everyday matters were settled with swords, I'd say yes. And I'd also tell you to forget high-resistance nylon and put a chainmail collar on them instead. For everything else, a Presa Canario collar in high-resistance nylon is more than enough. It's unbreakable.

Grab a piece of string, a shoelace, your bathrobe belt — whatever's closest.
Wrap it around their neck. Lay it flat on the floor and measure it.
M · 45–55 cm — Rottweiler, American Staffordshire, Bully, Malinois,...
L · 55–65 cm — Cane Corso, Presa Canario,...
XL · 65–75 cm — Caucasian, Alabai, Saint Bernard, Mastiff
Bear in mind the age and sex of your Presa, but measuring is measuring. That's all there is to it.
